MEMBERSHIP

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) membership gives you access to a community of like-minded professionals and organizations working together to increase the awareness of the economic, social, and environmental benefits of green roofs, green walls, and other forms of living architecture. There are three main categories of membership.

  • A Corporate Membership is for companies and organizations seeking high-visibility to market and/or a desire to more actively participate in the future development of the industry. As North America's green roof and wall industry association, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) provides its corporate members with many valuable benefits.  

    Corporate membership is split into two groups, Standard and Advanced, ranging in value from $550 - $5,200 USD annually.

    Standard

    • Nurseries - $750 USD

    • Professionals - $550 USD

    • Government & Institutional - $550 USD

    • Charitable & Non-Profit - $550 USD

    Advanced

    • Manufacturers - $5,200 USD

    • Suppliers of Accessories - $3,800 USD

    • Green Walls - $1,250 USD

  • Individuals with personal or professional interest in the growing green roof and wall industry in North America can benefit from the many resources, publications and discounted events offered by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities throughout the year. 

    Individuals practicing the art of living architecture; those who wish to become more involved in the industry; or anyone with a desire to learn more about green roofs and green walls should register for an Individual Membership with Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC). Individual Memberships range in value from $55 to $207.50 US annually.

    There are several different individual memberships:

    • Individual - Individuals with an interest in joining the broader green roof and wall community ($160 USD)

    • Affiliate - Individuals who are employed by a GRHC Corporate Member ($100 USD)

    • Accreditation - Individuals with a professional designation such as the GRP or GRIMP ($207.50 USD)

  • Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is pleased to provide active students with low-cost access to its programs, resources, conferences and other initiatives to better facilitate engagement with industry professionals.

    Student members receive all the benefits of Individual Membership.

    Membership dues are $50 US annually.

BUILD TECHNICAL STANDARDS

  • Join GRHC in creating technical standards for green roof and walls, such as those created in partnership with SPRI

    • ANSI VF-1 Fire Design Guidelines

    • RP-14 Wind Design Standard

    • VR-1 Procedure for Investigating Resistance to Root Penetration

  • Ensure that green roof and wall technology is recognized and included in external industry standards such as LEED, Sustainable Sites, and Green Globes.

    • Ensure standards categorize these technologies appropriately and fairly.

SUPPORT MARKET GROWTH THROUGH ADVOCACY

  • Strategic association partnerships with organizations and media outlets around North America to bring profile to green roofs and walls.

  • Ability to participate in a number of GRHC committees on policy, research, growing media, and more.
