Biography of Matthew Barmore, Director-at-Large

Matthew Barmore serves as Vice President at Greenrise Technologies, LLC a full-service green infrastructure firm out of the Nashville Metropolitan Area.  Matthew's duties primarily include leading technical sales of SkyScape Vegetative Roof Systems, working alongside the sales representatives, installers, and channel partners that together, grow the SkyScape brand.

Matt joined Greenrise after more than 10 years’ service at Firestone Building Products, the world’s largest commercial roofing manufacturer. While at Firestone, he held leadership positions in Technical Solutions, National Sales, Estimating, and Marketing. Matt is an accredited Green Roof Professional (GRP), a member of CSI, a reviewer for ANSI/SPRI, and serves on the Board of Directors of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, where he chairs the Corporate Member Committee.

Prior to joining Firestone, Matt was an officer in the U.S. Air Force, serving in multiple deployments in support of operations combating global terrorism. He has degrees from Indiana State University (Terre Haute, IN), Bethel College and Seminary (St. Paul, MN), and is currently completing a Green MBA at The San Francisco Institute of Architecture (Berkeley, CA).
